Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
00
When is the Oilmaster suitable for my production process?

The Oilmaster is designed for oil and emulsion mist released during, among other things, machining, grinding, and other metalworking processes.

During the baseline assessment, Kiekens maps out the source, mist load, required air volumes, and machine layout. Based on this, we determine which extraction solution fits.

00
Can the Oilmaster be applied to a single CNC machine and centrally?

Yes. An Oilmaster can be tailored to a single CNC machine or be part of a central extraction installation. The standard capacity range runs from 1,000 to 20,000 m³/h. For higher capacities, multiple filter chambers can be built up in parallel.

00
How does the Oilmaster's three-stage filtration work?

The aluminium pre-filter captures coarse particles and promotes the formation of larger droplets.

In the bag filter, fine aerosols agglomerate into larger droplets that are discharged. The fine filter with high-efficiency membrane then removes the finest particles.

00
What emission values are achievable with the Oilmaster?

According to the product specifications, the three-stage filter system achieves emission values below 5 mg/m³.

The filtered air can be returned to the workspace. Whether recirculation is suitable for your process is assessed by Kiekens in relation to the process conditions.

00
How does the Oilmaster limit maintenance and downtime?

The aluminium pre-filter is washable, and the agglomeration stage works on a self-regenerating principle.

Depending on the process, filter lifespan can be up to twelve months. By correctly dimensioning airflow and filter load, Kiekens helps limit unnecessary maintenance moments.

00
What happens to the separated oil or emulsion?

The separated liquid can be discharged via a drain tap.

Optionally, an automatic pump system connected to a 200-liter drum is possible. The discharge is matched to the amount of liquid and how your organization handles the residual flow.

00
How does the Oilmaster ensure stable airflow?

The installation can use precise airflow control with an integrated frequency drive. Every installation is tailored to airflow and pressure stability. This means the system doesn't need to run continuously at maximum unnecessarily.

00
Can the Oilmaster be used with combustible emulsions or MQL?

The Oilmaster can be configured for combustible emulsions and MQL applications.

A spark-protected construction and optional temperature monitoring with automatic shutdown are among the possibilities. The safety configuration follows from the process and risk analysis.

00
How does oil mist extraction also protect machines and product quality?

Oil and emulsion mist can settle on machines, electronics, and building interiors.

By extracting the mist in a targeted manner, the Oilmaster helps limit contamination. This supports a more stable production environment and can contribute to protecting machines and product quality.

00
Why is every Oilmaster tailored to the customer?

The mist load of a single CNC machine is not the same as that of a complete production line.

Air volume, vacuum, process fluid, and operating hours differ per situation. That's why Kiekens uses the baseline assessment and engineering to configure the Oilmaster around the actual production process.
