Dustmaster 1200

The Dustmaster DM1200 is used, among other things, as a stationary filter unit linked to a central dedusting system or as a mobile filter unit to extract dust at source. The optional Kiekens extraction arm can be used for this purpose.

The generously sized 5.8m² bag filter guarantees maintenance of capacity for longer periods of time so that work can be done without annoying interruptions. During operation, the degree of filter fouling can be monitored by the manometer fitted as standard to determine when the filter needs cleaning.

The filter can be easily cleaned manually by the ergonomically positioned beater crank. The collected dust is collected in a mobile and generously sized 120L dust container, which can optionally be fitted with a waste bag.

For environments where hygiene, durability and corrosion resistance are essential, the Dustmaster is available in a robust stainless steel version. This version is eminently suitable for sectors such as food, pharmacy and chemistry, where strict requirements apply to material use and cleanability. With stainless steel we offer a dust extraction solution that is resistant to moisture, chemical influences and intensive use, without compromising the powerful performance you are used to from Kiekens.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
00
How do I know if the Dustmaster 1200 is suitable for my production process?

The right dust extraction solution doesn't start with a machine, but with your production process. That's why Kiekens begins with a baseline assessment. During this inventory, we map out factors such as the dust source, dust properties, air volumes, operating hours, available space, and any ATEX risks.

Based on this data, our specialists determine which configuration best suits your situation. The Dustmaster 1200 is often used when a compact, flexible solution is needed for extracting (fine) dust at the source or as part of a central dust extraction system. Thanks to its modular design, the installation can also be easily adapted if your production process changes.

00
For which applications is the Dustmaster 1200 most commonly used?

The Dustmaster 1200 is designed to effectively extract (fine) dust released during industrial production processes, such as sawing, sanding, grinding, filling, or processing dry raw materials.

Depending on the situation, the Dustmaster 1200 can be used as a mobile filter unit, a stationary extraction unit, or as part of a central dust extraction system. Combined with an extraction arm, dust can be extracted directly at the source, limiting its spread in the production environment.

00
Why does Kiekens start with a baseline assessment?

No two production processes are the same. The amount of dust, the material properties, the desired extraction capacity, and the available space differ from situation to situation. That's why Kiekens never advises based solely on product specifications.

During a baseline assessment, our specialists map out all relevant factors. Based on this, we design a complete solution that fits your production process. The Dustmaster 1200 may be part of that, but always as part of a solution tailored to your situation. This prevents under- or over-dimensioning and ensures you invest in an installation that continues to perform optimally in the long term.

00
How does Kiekens determine whether the Dustmaster 1200 is the right choice?

During the baseline assessment, Kiekens looks at the type of dust, dust load, required capacity, frequency of use, and the layout of the production process. Based on this data, our specialists assess whether the Dustmaster 1200 is suitable or whether another solution from the Kiekens range is a better fit. This means the starting point isn't a single machine, but the solution that best matches the application.

00
When is a HEPA filter the right choice for the Dustmaster 1200?

That depends on the dust properties and the requirements within your production environment. In some situations, the standard filter configuration is sufficient. When very fine dust particles are released or stricter air quality requirements apply, a HEPA filter module can provide the answer.

During the baseline assessment, our specialists determine which filtration grade is necessary. This prevents an installation from being over-engineered while still ensuring the desired air quality is achieved.

00
When is an ATEX version necessary?

When a production process releases explosive dust, additional safety measures may be necessary. Which version is required depends on the dust properties and the outcome of the risk analysis.

The Dustmaster 1200 is available in a certified ATEX version for applications in dust zone 22. During the baseline assessment, our specialists determine whether an ATEX version is necessary and how it can be safely integrated into the overall installation.

00
How does the Dustmaster 1200 prevent unnecessary downtime due to filter contamination?

A dust filter only performs optimally when it's cleaned at the right time. That's why the Dustmaster 1200 comes standard with a manometer that makes it easy to monitor filter resistance.

This means maintenance is carried out based on actual filter load rather than fixed maintenance intervals. This prevents unnecessary downtime, extends the filter's lifespan, and ensures extraction capacity is maintained. With the Jet-Pulse version, filter cleaning also happens automatically during more intensive applications.

00
Can the Dustmaster 1200 be connected to an existing pipework?

That depends on the version. The stationary Dustmaster 1200 can be integrated into a new or existing pipe network if it is technically suitable. The mobile version is designed as a standalone industrial vacuum cleaner and is not connected to a fixed pipe network. During the baseline assessment, Kiekens determines which version best matches the production process and the desired way of working.

00
How does the Dustmaster 1200 contribute to a safe and healthy working environment?

Fine dust released during production processes can degrade air quality and accumulate on machines, products, and workstations. By extracting dust directly at the source, the Dustmaster 1200 helps significantly reduce this burden.

A well-designed dust extraction system not only contributes to a cleaner working environment but also supports operational reliability, reduces contamination of machinery, and helps organizations comply with applicable occupational safety and air quality requirements.

00
How does Kiekens ensure the Dustmaster 1200 continues to perform optimally?

A good dust extraction installation doesn't stop at delivery. Maintenance, inspection, and periodic optimization are also decisive for long-term performance.

That's why Kiekens thinks beyond simply delivering a machine. By tailoring the installation to the production process, making maintenance predictable, and providing support with inspection and optimization where needed, the Dustmaster 1200 continues to perform reliably. This ensures a safe, healthy, and clean working environment, day in, day out.
